Why We Never Ask for Your Seed Phrase During a Session

New clients sometimes ask whether they should bring their recovery phrase to a rotation session. Our answer is always no — and the session structure makes it unnecessary.

Serial Numbers Suffice

Device identification for rotation planning requires only the serial number, firmware version, and approximate date of last use. These are visible on the device exterior or home screen without unlocking the wallet application.

Liability and Trust Boundaries

Panel Grove Way holds no insurance product covering key material exposure because we never accept key material. This boundary protects both parties. Holders who need technical recovery of a lost phrase require a different category of service provider.

What If I Forget Which Passphrase Goes With Which Device?

We address this through a passphrase variant index — you label variants as A, B, C without revealing the words themselves. During the session, you confirm which variant is active on which device by testing a signature on your own screen. We record the variant letter only.

Session Room Setup

In-person sessions at our Songpa office use a desk arrangement where device screens face the holder, not our consultant. Video sessions follow the same rule: share serial numbers via camera, never seed words via chat.
