Rotation Schedule Process
How Panel Grove Way structures hardware wallet rotation planning from intake through ledger delivery.
How Rotation Planning Works
Every engagement follows a documented sequence. This page describes the stages so you know what to expect before booking.
Stage 1: Intake
A 30-minute call to confirm your device count, preferred format (in-person or remote), and any upcoming deadlines — such as a planned device purchase or estate attorney review.
Stage 2: Preparation
We send a blank inventory template. You fill in approximate purchase dates and device models. You do not enter seed phrases or passphrases on this form.
Stage 3: Session
| Step | Activity | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| A | Device identification — serial numbers, firmware versions | 60 min |
| B | Rotation interval discussion — manufacturer guidance vs. your risk tolerance | 45 min |
| C | Archive cross-reference — linking retired units to active ledger | 30 min |
| D | Ledger drafting and review | 45 min |
Stage 4: Delivery
Printed ledger, encrypted USB with PDF copy, and a laminated quick-reference card listing active device count and next rotation date.
Recommended Rotation Intervals
These are starting points discussed during your session, not fixed rules:
| Device Type | Suggested Review Interval |
|---|---|
| Ledger Nano series | Every 3–4 years or after major firmware change |
| Trezor Model T / Safe 3 | Every 3–4 years |
| Coldcard Mk4 | Every 4–5 years |
| Retired / archived devices | Annual archive audit |
Your personal interval may differ based on usage patterns, environmental storage conditions, and family access requirements.
